61% of music dowloaded illegally online is by 14 - 21 year olds

Illegal dowloaders spend £77 on music per year whereas legal downloaders spend only £44

Above are a few facts which I have come across by watching documentaries which are beneficial for my Media Studies A-Level. They highlight the fact that artists and record companies don't always recieve the income they deserve for the work which they put into creating tracks and music videos.
